I began teaching at South Beauregard High School in August, 2007. I absolutely love our school, our students, and our community! I cannot imagine being anywhere else! Geaux Knights!
Before teaching, I worked ten years in the field of social services. During that time, I worked in case management and provided services to families involved with child protection, juvenile probation, mental health, and citizens with disabilities.
I am married to Jeff Russell and we have one son, Jake. Jeff is also an educator and teaches PE at Pine Wood Elementary in DeRidder. Jake attends South Beauregard Elementary.
I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping, and participating in all things Mardi Gras! I am actively involved in my Mardi Gras Krewe, Krewe du Sauvage. I love surrounding myself with family and friends. My favorite teams are the Houston Astros, New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, McNeese Cowboys, AND the SBHS Knights and Lady K’s. I attend as many of our school events as I possibly can and like to support our students in all they do. I especially love to watch my nieces and nephews play baseball, basketball, and softball...the added bonus is that they attend SBHS! We are a family of Knights and Lady K’s! My son is also involved in South Beau Little Dribblers and South Beau Recreation Baseball. To say the least, we stay busy!
