Business English, IBCA, BCA, CIW Site Development, Entrepreneurship I and Digital Media – Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!!

I have been a teacher for 31 years; 28 of those have been at SBHS.  Teaching is my life and passion.  Helping children develop skills to become a productive part of society is so rewarding.  

Business Education prepares students to become productive citizens in a global economy. It provides students with meaningful instruction that is flexible and adaptable to the needs of industry and society. Students gain a wide range of transferable skills that allows entrance into the job market, with the flexibility to function in new and emerging technological occupations. Business Education develops knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to succeed in the workforce and provides the basis for students to successfully complete postsecondary programs in various content areas. All students need a general understanding of how the American economy operates and the role business plays in the economic well-being of this country. Business Education courses provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become productive citizens and lifelong learners.

We offer Microsoft certifications, Adobe certifications, Microenterprise,and CIW Web Foudations Associate certification.  Your child can leave our school ready to take on the tech world.

It is a time of great change.  All students will use Google Classroom to access their work whether you are a virtual student or a student attending school. I look forward to working with you this school year.

 If you need something, you may call my cell phone or home phone before 6 pm or you can email me anytime.  Please don’t call during late evening or at night, because my husband works 12-hour shiftwork.  

The only supplies you need for my classroom are:

#2 pencil

Blue ink pen

Headphones or earbuds for computer programs.

Last Name A-J Box of Tissue (Please write your name on the bottom of the box.) (Bonus Points)

Last Name K-Z Antibacterial Wipes (Please write your name on the bottom of the can.)  These will be used to clean the keyboards.  Keyboards are one of the dirtiest areas in a classroom because they are used by many people throughout the day. (Bonus Points)

I also suggest you get a usb drive (jumpdrive) to save your work.
